At issue in the film and the surrounding commentary are Arendt\u2019s (allegedly misleading) characterizations of the subject of her 1963 book\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/13M2ZkY\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Eichmann in Jerusalem<\/i><\/a>, as well as her ambivalent\u2014some have said callous, even \u201cvictim-blaming\u201d\u2014treatment of other Jews. None of these controversies are new, however.
