A recent judicial decision in Brasil\u00a0 has allowed\u00a0 psychologists to offer sexual reversal therapy, known as a ‘gay cure’, a treatment banned by the Federal Council of Psychology since 1999.<\/p>\n

What would Freud say about it?\u00a0See\u00a0“a letter on homosexuality<\/a>” (1935),\u00a0sent by Freud to the mother of a homossexual, available online in the Library of Congress.<\/p>\n

“Homosexuality is assuredly no advantage, but it is nothing to be ashamed of, no vice, no degradation, it cannot be classified as an illness,” says the letter.<\/a><\/p>\n
