Staffan M\u00fcller-Wille (University of Exeter) editor of the journal\u00a0History and Philosophy of the Life Sciences<\/a>\u00a0talked about\u00a0 two different models of publications. While in Latin America, scientific journals are\u00a0 usually supported by governmental agencies, in most of Europe and North America, journal publishing is dominated by big publishers.<\/p>\n

“I think that in this part of the world, if you don’t pay anything for something, it doesn’t worth anything,” says the editor.<\/p>\n
