the debate on how historians and social scientists perceive and understand relations between ideology and science, which are often seen as realms belonging to rival kingdoms.<\/p>\n<p><a 2017,<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0<span class=\"author-name\">Jos\u00e9\u00a0Neves\u00a0<\/span>Universidade Nova de Lisboa examines how scholars have portrayed Alm\u00edcar Cabral, the Bissau-Guinean\u00a0agronomist and\u00a0one of Africa&#8217;s foremost\u00a0anti-colonial\u00a0leaders.<\/p>\n<div class=\"abstract\">It\u00a0undertakes a genealogical analysis of the Cabralian concept of people and suggests that the emergence of this concept in his\u00a0discourse derives from the intersection of anti-colonial ideas\u00a0in the former Portuguese Empire and the development of agrarian studies in Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>The article also explores the relations between science and ideology in the writings by and about Am\u00edlcar Cabral and \u00a0his references to \u201cpeople\u201d, which often hold a central place in Cabralian studies.<\/p>\n<p>See the current issue of <a
