Colonia Chapadmalal, Argentina, 1947<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scielo.br\/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0104-59702015000401441&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso&amp;tlng=en\" target=\"_blank\">interview<\/a> about the presence of scientific subjects in the Brazilian press in the 1960s and a selection of images of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scielo.br\/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0104-59702015000401467&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso&amp;tlng=en\" target=\"_blank\">first summer\u00a0camps for frail children<\/a> as educational and health-giving experiences\u00a0in Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>From the analysis of texts published in the United States, one of the articles in this issue reconstructs different debates about the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scielo.br\/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0104-59702015000401121&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso&amp;tlng=en\" target=\"_blank\">origin of bioethics as a discipline<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With the reconstruction of these narratives, the authors seek to understand what bioethicists think about this area of \u200b\u200bknowledge and practices. The research involved conducting interviews with more than 50 bioethicists and members of hospital committees in Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>Written in the context \u00a0of the Universal Suffrage and Prohibition in the United States, in the early twenties, the book <em>Alcoholic Memories<\/em>, by Jack London, was \u00a0analyzed in the article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scielo.br\/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0104-59702015000401373&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso&amp;tlng=pt\" target=\"_blank\">Alcoholism and the aesthetics of existence: Jack London and the white logic of John Barleycorn<\/a>.\u00a0The author sought to understand how the American writer&#8217;s work \u00a0deals with the theme of the self-care, problematized by Michel Foucault in volumes 2 and 3 of The History of Sexuality.<\/p>\n<p>The article entitled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scielo.br\/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0104-59702015000401215&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso&amp;tlng=en\" target=\"_blank\">For a society without secure psychiatric hospitals, <\/a>written in the context of the Brazilian antimanicomial\u00a0movement, criticized the psychiatric model based on secure hospitals for patients with mental disorders.
