This system consists of the electronic publication of journal articles, individually or in small groups, as they are approved and processed internally, replacing the publication of articles by number.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scielo.br\/j\/hcsm\/i\/2024.v31\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a02024 volume<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0of HCS-Manguinhos celebrates the centenary of the Fernandes Figueira Institute, incorporated into Fiocruz more than 50 years ago. The IFF is the Fiocruz unit devoted to the health of mothers, children, and adolescents.\u00a0In addition to the<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scielo.br\/j\/hcsm\/a\/wGzkJShZPJFwCbLCG6WdYVd\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0letter from the editors<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0signed by\u00a0Luiz Antonio Teixeira\u00a0and\u00a0\u00a0Larissa Velasquez de Souza, researchers at IFF, our latest volume features four articles about the Institute and its work on mothers and children&#8217;s healthcare.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Besides the articles about IFF, other articles on different topics complete the HCS-Manguinhos&#8217; first batch of articles.
