To celebrate this remarkable moment, we highlight some articles and texts already published in our journal and blog about SUS, which is playing a decisive role in this pandemic context.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scielo.br\/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0104-59702014000100015&amp;lng=pt&amp;nrm=iso&amp;tlng=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Health reform and the creation of the Sistema \u00danico de Sa\u00fade: notes on contexts and authors<\/a><\/strong>, by Historians Carlos Henrique Assun\u00e7\u00e3o\u00a0Paiva and Luiz Antonio\u00a0Teixeira, from\u00a0<em>Casa de Oswaldo Cruz<\/em>\/FIOCRUZ,\u00a0explains how within the context of the return to democracy, the new constitution enacted in 1988 transformed health into an individual right and initiated the process of creating a public, universal and decentralized health system, profoundly altering the organization of public health in Brazil.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/the-right-to-all\/\">The right to health<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0\u00a0In 2016 we interviewed two\u00a0experts on\u00a0this\u00a0subject, Jos\u00e9 Paranagu\u00e1 and Carlos Henrique Paiva.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/health-is-everyones-right\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Health is everyone\u2019s right<\/a><\/strong>\u201d \u2013 Jos\u00e9 Paranagu\u00e1 is a reference in Brazil and Latin America in terms of community health, international health and bioethics. He\u00a0is a doctor and has a PhD in health sciences. \u00a0Among his many awards, he received the Oswaldo Cruz Medal of Merit in 2009 from the Brazilian Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/for-an-universal-health-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">For an universal health system<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Carlos Henrique \u00a0Paiva is Assistant Professor of the Graduate Program in The History of Science and Health at the Casa deOswaldo Cruz.
