{"id":13122,"date":"2021-07-05T17:49:05","date_gmt":"2021-07-05T20:49:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/?p=13122"},"modified":"2021-08-06T17:11:26","modified_gmt":"2021-08-06T20:11:26","slug":"a-periodical-in-the-face-of-adversity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/a-periodical-in-the-face-of-adversity\/","title":{"rendered":"A periodical in the face of adversity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\">July, 1st, 2021<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In the editor&#8217;s note of the latest issue of HCS-Manguinhos (v. 28, n.2,\u00a0Apr-Jun\u00a02021), our science editor Marcos Cueto looks back on 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">According to\u00a0 Cueto,\u00a0 the year 2020 will be evoked with pain, grief and consternation, but also with admiration for the brave physicians, scientists, health workers, artists and leaders of the urban peripheries who confronted covid-19.<\/p>\n<div class=\"articleSection\" data-anchor=\"Text\">\n<div id=\"attachment_13125\" style=\"width: 439px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scielo.br\/j\/hcsm\/a\/w7PBLMzkZm5twk5r8rbV9kn\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13125\" class=\"wp-image-13125\" src=\"http:\/\/www.revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/CAPACARTA.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"429\" height=\"391\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-13125\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Despite all adversities, in 2020, we were able to keep to our regular schedule of four issues per year, plus a special issue entitled \u201cThe meaning(s) of global public health history,\u201d which included a large number of authors from abroad.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"articleSection\" data-anchor=\"Text\">\n<p>&#8220;In this letter I would like to remind everyone that during every serious crisis \u2013 whether social, institutional or personal \u2013 we must attempt to look after our own mental health and ensure the tranquility of those who surround us, our friends and family,&#8221;
