The aim was to offer a profound and panoramic perspective of what has been achieved on selected themes and what needs more investigation. Since then we have published four historiographical reviews.\u00a0We hope that these articles will become an educational tool for graduate students.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_12518\" style=\"width: 470px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12518\" class=\"wp-image-12518 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reviweing-history.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"460\" height=\"660\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-12518\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">We have published four\u00a0historiographical reviews on topics such as International exhibitions, feminism in the history of science, yellow fever in Latin America and environmental history\u00a0in Brazil.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In the first one,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/international-expositions-a-historiographic-approach-from-latin-america\/\">International expositions: a historiographic approach from Latin America<\/a>\u00a0(HCSM\u00a0vol.24\u00a0no.3 jul.\/set.\u00a02017) Nelson Sanjad, researcher at Museu Paraense Em\u00edlio Goeldi and professor at Universidade Federal do Par\u00e1, examines the historiography of international exhibitions, the first of which\u00a0was held\u00a0in London, in\u00a01851. These events were seen as geopolitical phenomena of modernity to which are associated the rise of middle classes, nationalist and colonialist movements.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/la-historiografia-de-la-fiebre-amarilla-en-america-latina-desde-1980\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The historiography of yellow fever in Latin America since 1980: the limits of presentism<\/a> M\u00f3nica Garcia, profesor at Universidad del Rosario, Colombia, identifies two major trends in the narratives related to the disease: the fever as an agent of historical changes or linked to power relations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/a-historiographic-essay-on-the-history-of-women-medicine-and-gender\/\">A historiographic essay on the history of women, medicine, and gender<\/a>, by\u00a0Ana Paula Vosne Martins,\u00a0profesor at Universidade Federal do Paran\u00e1, presents\u00a0 some of the most important works and approaches\u00a0<span class=\"normal\">that marked\u00a0<\/span>this historiography with a focus on writings in the English language.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-meta clearfix\">And, finally, a<a href=\"http:\/\/www.revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/a-review-of-environmental-historiography-on-brazil\/\">\u00a0review of environmental historiography on Brazil<\/a>, written by\u00a0<span class=\"author-name\">Jos\u00e9 Augusto\u00a0P\u00e1dua,\u00a0Professor at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, and\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"author-name\">Alessandra Izabel de\u00a0Carvalho, of Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa,<\/span>\u00a0presents an overview of books on Brazilian environmental history, including topics such as forests, agriculture, biodiversity, urban dynamics and environmentalism.<\/div>\n<div class=\"post-meta clearfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"post-meta clearfix\">Two articles\u00a0were\u00a0funded with grants from the Wellcome Trust.<\/div>\n<div class=\"post-meta clearfix\"><\/div>\n<p>References and stories:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scielo.br\/cgi-bin\/wxis.exe\/iah\/?IsisScript=iah\/iah.xis&amp;base=article%5Edlibrary&amp;format=iso.pft&amp;lang=i&amp;nextAction=lnk&amp;indexSearch=AU&amp;exprSearch=SANJAD,+NELSON\">SANJAD, Nelson<\/a>.<span class=\"article-title\">\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.1590\/s0104-59702017000300013\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International expositions: a historiographic approach from Latin America<\/a>.<\/span><i>\u00a0Hist. cienc. saude-Manguinhos<\/i>\u00a0[online]. 2017, vol.24, n.3, pp.785-826.
