{"id":11043,"date":"2020-02-12T19:20:30","date_gmt":"2020-02-12T21:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/?p=11043"},"modified":"2020-02-12T19:41:21","modified_gmt":"2020-02-12T21:41:21","slug":"on-regionalization-and-the-brazilian-unified-health-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/on-regionalization-and-the-brazilian-unified-health-system\/","title":{"rendered":"On regionalization and the Brazilian Unified Health System"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: right;\">February 2020<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The essay\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scielo.br\/pdf\/hcsm\/v26n4\/en_0104-5970-hcsm-26-04-1139.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The concept of the regionalization of the Sistema \u00danico de Sa\u00fade and its historical time<\/a> assumes that from a simple administrative guideline, regionalization has become the main concept for enabling the doctrine of equitable and universal coverage behind the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS in its Portuguese acronyms).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The researchers Ana Luiza D\u2019\u00c1vila Viana (University of S\u00e3o Paulo),\u00a0Guilherme Arantes Mello and\u00a0Marcelo Demarzo (both from the Federal University of S\u00e3o Paulo)\u00a0believe that the revision of such concept will allow to embrace larger productive possibilities. At the interface between studies of the historicity of the concepts and extensive fieldwork, it is argued that the traditional concept of the regionalization of the\u00a0SUS has reached the historical limits of its productive capacity.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_11045\" style=\"width: 501px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11045\" class=\" wp-image-11045\" src=\"http:\/\/www.revistahcsm.coc.fiocruz.br\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/grafo_pesquisasSUS.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"491\" height=\"298\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-11045\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The graphic of a single co-authorship network of coordinators of the National Network of Clinical Research in Teaching Hospitals, illustrating the idea of complex networks (Ten\u00f3rio, 2016).<\/p><\/div>\n<p>According to the researchers,\u00a0the updating of the concept of regionalization challenges innovative perspectives for a clinical system integrated in complex networks with new processes, instruments, clinical models, among others.
