Our\u00a0 latest issue (Jul\/Set 2019)<\/a> is fully available in Scielo<\/a> with several articles\u00a0on a range\u00a0\u00a0of different topics. It features\u00a018 articles and\u00a0many of them are also available in English and Spanish. In the\u00a0Editor\u2019s Note,<\/a>\u00a0Andr\u00e9 Felipe C\u00e2ndido da Silva\u00a0analyses the changes in scientific publishing,\u00a0such\u00a0as preprinting and open science. These changes were among the main topics discussed in the workshop held in June at\u00a0Fiocruz to celebrate 25 years of our journal.<\/p>\n

In the analyses section of our latest issue topics range from medical discourses in\u00a0 nineteenth century Buenos Aires<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0to a study on the way science and scientists are represented <\/a>in short films,\u00a0 and a discussion on\u00a0\u00a0the motivations of scientific groups in international cooperation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This issue also features an\u00a0analysis of the arrival and identification of the African mosquito\u00a0Anopheles gambiae<\/em>\u00a0in Brazil in 1930<\/a>\u00a0and the initial reactions of scientists and public health authorities against the epidemics of malaria caused by this species.<\/p>\n

In addition,\u00a0\u00a0our current edition also discusses\u00a0pediatrics in Spain <\/a>in the first third of the twentieth century and provides a historical critique of the rise of three diagnostic categories<\/a>\u00a0in mental helath: neurasthenia, neurosis and depression.<\/p>\n
