Social Medicine is a bilingual, academic, open-access journal published since 2006 by the Department of Family and Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Latin American Social Medicine Association (ALAMES). Its current issue (Vol 11, No 3, 2018) features articles on disorders of sex development, health reforms in India and an interview with American physician Victor W. Sidel, who past away on January 30th, 2018.
Dr. Victor Sidel passed away on January 30th, 2018. To honor his extraordinary career we are republishing an interview that appeared initially in 2013 on the occasion of his retirement.
