Job opportunity: Research Fellow in Health Sciences – University of York

June 2016

Applications are invited for a Research Fellow to work with Professor Jim McCambridge on a Wellcome Trust-funded research programme investigating the alcohol industry, public health sciences and policy. This work seeks to be informed by, and to inform, research on corporate actors in other sectors. The deadline for applications is 24th June 2016.

You will have a PhD and research experience in a relevant area, good qualitative skills, and possess a detailed understanding of a variety of methods used in social sciences and public health research. The post offers a significant opportunity for a researcher to advance a career on corporate actors and public health in active collaboration with a range of leading researchers, and to develop your own research programme.

This is a full-time post (37 hours per week) offered at Grade 7 on an open contract (equivalent to Lecturer level) with funding currently in place for five years. The expectation is that during the period of this award, the postholder will be involved in research grant and other funding applications to further develop this area of work.
